1849AD is the artist name of Daan Smit. In his home studio in Boskoop, The Netherlands, he composes and produces his songs. Typical for the songs are the dark, melancholic atmosphere, getting greatly along with a fairy-tale like, Celtic sound.
Classical music and modern beats are often blend together, whilst keeping the atmosphere dark and moody, making this unique style enjoyable for everyone.
